We’ve known Mary for a very long time. She loves to hike but she hates those f***ing hills.

We try to hike a lot in our backyard (Canadian Rockies, Kananaskis Country, Waterton…) After we’ve finished a hike Mary will usually say “That was pretty good! Only 2 swears!”

We love Mary. But boy can she swear! We started to gauge how good the hikes are by how many times she swears on the hike.

Rating

• The longer the hike, the more swears to expect.
  • (“How long is this f***ing hike?”)
• The more elevation gain, the more swears.
  • (“F*** me! I hate hills!”)
• If it’s truly amazing, you could get more swears
  • (“F***! This is so beautiful!”)
